Coo-Var Zinc Phosphate Primer is a high performance, modified alkyd metal primer. It has very good anti-corrosive properties. Can be used as an anti-corrosive primer on iron and steel. Ideal when wood and metal are combined in the same structure as it will prime both surfaces. A stronger primer than most basic DIY primers. Can be used for fire escapes, metal gates, metal garage doors. Can be used on aluminium. Ideal in coastal areas.

Coverage: 13m² per litre. The practical spreading rate may be lower as this depends on factors such as the porosity and roughness of the surface to be painted and material losses during application.

Drying times: Low temperature and high humidity will adversely affect application, drying and performance of any coating.

Touch dry: 2 hours

Hard dry: 12 hours

Full Hardness: 5-7 days

Recoatable: 12 hours / overnight
