Sadolin Wood Preserver is a wood preservative for use against wood rotting fungi and wood destroying insects. For use on interior and exterior wood out of ground contact or out of surface water contact. Exterior timber treated with Sadolin Wood Preserver must be subsequently coated with an exterior woodstain or paint.
Coverage: These figures are intended as a guide. The actual absorption will depend on a number of factors, including timber species, surface condition, moisture content, method of application and climatic conditions during application.
Dipping: immerse timber for 3-10 minutes for an expected application rate of 6m² per litre.
By brush: 6m² per litre.
Drying times: Drying times are dependent upon absorption of substrate and drying conditions. Minimum recommended application temperature 8°C. At low temperatures and / or conditions of high relative humidity, drying times will be extended.
Touch dry: 2-4 hours
Recoatable: 24 hours
Decoration of treated timbers: Allow a minimum of 24 hours drying in normal drying conditions before further treatment with solvent bornepaints and woodstain systems. Allow a minimum of 72 hours drying before further treatment with water borne paints and woodstain systems.
